Last AEP and OEP I enrolled 79 people in MAPD plans, 68 of them are still on the books. About 21 were people who were just aging in and around 25 were people who had never heard of Medicare advantage, the've had straight medicare and supp all the time, the rest am not sure about.

I have been eagerly awaiting the second half of my commissions. UHC sent out emails last week that they will be paying true first year comm for JAN 1 and FEB 1 effectives, I was so happy and excited. My happiness and excitment were dashed this morning when I opened the comm statement. They paid me on only 3 cases totaling $600 with $416 pending charge back = $184 net.

I immediately called PHD (Producer hell desk ) to find out what is going on. The young lady apologized and told me that is what they received from CMS and it was final and that unfortunately, there is no appeal. I sincerely know that they owe me between $10,000- $12,000.

Am I the only one this is happening to ?

Bummer. That's what can happen when you get involved with a taxpayer funded, government run program.

Look at the bright side.

When Washington needs to raise taxes on the wealthy to cover the $100 trillion in unfunded liability, you won't be one of the wealthy.

I would be pissed severely over that. That's pathetic. I'm glad I've stayed away from MA plans. The area I live and work in isn't worth a flip with the plans available. Apparently the promise of first-year commissions isn't worth a flip either.

Again, have you contacted your Congressmen and Senators? File a complaint against CMS. Then file a complaint with DOI.

If they do this to many agents, including me, we need to file a class action law suit.

I agree. Even with the charge backs he was due about $7,400. 46(first-years) x $200= $9,200. Nine charge backs of $200 each is $1,800. That leaves $7,400 he's owed if my math is correct. He gets $184:skeptical:

And I was worried over the penny-size commissions on PDP plans I was owed.:swoon:
