If You Sell MA Plans, You Are Screwed.

Bob,

Which Company paid you correctly? United HealthCare owes me on 17 policies. I did get paid on 5 plans.

I dropped out of the senior market 2 years ago and this year contracted with Humana for the referral program.
HUH....I have not seen any money from them.

Last year I had some information on both Humana and Wellcare's referral program. I want to say that both were paying in the neighborhood of $200 per sale. I may check to see what it is this year. Its possible that CMS may have had some say in it. I think that figure was at the time in which higher commission payouts were announced only to be reduced by CMS later on as the AEP approached.

I am not dropping out of the senior market, but I may drop out of MA/PDP altogether. As it stands now I haven't sold either in over a year and a half. Not being in that market full time is a good way to make a mistake with scope of appt. etc. since you won't tend to be familiar with it.

DO YA THINK WE WILL GET AN INTEREST PAYMENT? :twitchy:

Several carriers claim we are not able to question their decision.

MrMack got paid on 30% of his cases and has no recourse and no interest for his carrier's late payment. Such a deal! :swoon:

We need a law firm to class action this back to our original contract commission level. There is nothing in the regs that allows for five contract changes after the fact. A good law firm could take this case and win!

And I'm sorry for offending some of you, but, the FMO's are worthless. With the exception of Ritter, all of the FMO's are dead silent on this. Thanks Ritter!

Last AEP and OEP I enrolled 79 people in MAPD plans, 68 of them are still on the books. About 21 were people who were just aging in and around 25 were people who had never heard of Medicare advantage, the've had straight medicare and supp all the time, the rest am not sure about.

I have been eagerly awaiting the second half of my commissions. UHC sent out emails last week that they will be paying true first year comm for JAN 1 and FEB 1 effectives, I was so happy and excited. My happiness and excitment were dashed this morning when I opened the comm statement. They paid me on only 3 cases totaling $600 with $416 pending charge back = $184 net.

I immediately called PHD (Producer hell desk ) to find out what is going on. The young lady apologized and told me that is what they received from CMS and it was final and that unfortunately, there is no appeal. I sincerely know that they owe me between $10,000- $12,000.

Am I the only one this is happening to ?

I wrote 145 MA for UHC during AEP and 55 were new to MA and I got paid on only 23 as new and was told I was SOL by PHD. What a shitty job it is to sell MA now.

United Health Care did e-mail me a True_up Form. I am supposed to fill out the form and e-mail it to [email protected]. They will probably send it to TRASH. I have been appealing a commission issue since 2/14/09. It was finally settled this week.
