I'm at the Mendoza Line

That's the thing, they don't notify the agent that they're not issuing the policy, they notifiy the client. They receive a letter stating they are enrolling outside of the enrollment period. They also say please let us know if you have a special election period. When the client calls the company to find out why they're not being accepted they tell them they can't enroll until November 2009. They asked one client why did you wait so long, why didn't you enroll in this in November or December. Helloooooo, it's called OEP

Sure enough, the PDP application I submitted January 15th for someone that got off of an MAPD to go back on Medicare + Medicare supplement + PDP is in the same boat as yours.

Un-freaking-believable!:skeptical:

Can you say>>>JOKE!

Update on the above posted case....the applicants wife was able to call in and verify the information(coming off MAPD), and it's issued as of February 1st, 2009.

Wonder how long before I get paid on it...if ever?:skeptical:

It's no wonder that the insurance carriers opt for 1099 status for their slaves. If we were W-2's the insurance companies that so willingly slow pay would be slapped silly by the very agencies that ignore us now.

And the saga continues for another week.....

PDP.......Pay Didn't Process

From the commission department at M of O...."eventually....within the next couple of weeks, hopefully."

This is bull-crap.

I wonder how quickly the commission department(s) would "handle" business if the agent were to use the words "hopefully" and "maybe" and "eventually" when writing apps? Then it would become a compliance issue. Strange how that only works one-way...

And continues to work only one way.

Unbelievable that it could take, at least, until March, to pay PDP applications that were written in November. I am soooo glad I didn't jump in my car to write a majority of them.

And the saga continues...and folks wonder why the insurance industry can't keep agents.

Imagine the app:

1. Have you had, or do you have, cancer in the last five years?
MAYBE
2. Are you confined to bed, or in an assisted living center?
I DUNNO
3. Have you used any tobacco substance in the last year?
THAT DEPENDS...
4. Who is your primary care physician?
THE EMERGENCY ROOM

Definitely jet issue...
