Two immigration groups have filed legal complaints against the Obama administration for kicking over one hundred thousand Obamacare customers off their insurance plans without sending notices in their native language, Modern Healthcare reports.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) and Philadelphia's Southeast Asian Mutual Assistance Associations Coalition (SEAMACC) have both filed complaints with Health and Human Services' Office of Civil Rights. The groups believe the Obama administration's move to end the health plans of customers who failed to prove their legal immigration or citizenship status violate customers' rights as immigrants.

So where else can they go for major medical insurance? Get real there are millions of undocumented in USA right now and letting them pay into the risk pool would only help ACA/ Obamacare. So why not let them stay on it. They are not eligible for employer group insurance anyway. They won't be leaving anytime soon any many have children with SSN.

If they can pay the premium then they are paying taxes...sales tax, rent, employee taxes. Payroll. These people already paying taxes. So if uninsured...hospital will eat it and bill it forward by raising procedure costs in 2015?

Hospitals eating these costs right now...but not really they are cutting staff and adding the losses to increase procedure costs in 2015. Every Doc I know is getting a pay cut. So the gov has NO solution for insuring the undocumented. If the unfortunate uninsured soul is laying in a bed for too long in icu and cant pay they use the consulate and an air transport to transfer them to their home country. This is millions of dollars. I know about some of these cases. I am in a border state. I am not an advocate of just canceling peoples insurance.

I don't have a problem with them getting a plan... I have a problem with them getting subsidies....

What I think you mean and I could be wrong but insurers are supposed to be getting the subsidy ...so they jacked the premium rates and insurer is waiting for their subsidy from gov. So the undocumented soul who applied for insurance, and if they get cancelled then insurer gets no subsidy. So risk pool gets more lean and one day soon that wonderful plan from the insurer gets into an adverse selection situation and plan goes bye bye.

These undocumented likely have family who are documented and enrolled in school, college, etc and usa is better than where they came from so no undocumented leaving unless forced to. You and me paying that Texas hospital medical bill of the gentleman coming from Liberia ...but i could be wrong but not likely

Tonyisme - I have no idea what you are talking about. Subsidies should be OFF THE TABLE if you are not a US Citizen. Legal immigrant? One of the requirements of this is that you are not a burden to the American public.

Hopefully, that is clear. Hopefully you can respond as clearly.

As a nation, we should help those who need help with urgent, critical, life threatening medical issues that are here for whatever reason. This is basic humanity. This isn't the same as ongoing care, dealing with a hangnail or a common cold.

Also, I doubt most illegals pay payroll taxes or income taxes or any other tax they can avoid. Sales tax, sure, but that is a modest amount compared to the what most individuals pay.
