IMO Wants Me to Send Apps to them

If you can't figure out how to fill out a 4 page FE application you need to leave your license on the table on the way out

I've written hundreds of apps in the last 15 years, I made a few mistakes my first year and think I probably made one or two in the last 10 years

And I believe they were in the early month of Jan where I'm so use to writing the prior year I mistakenly wrote 2008 instead of 2009.

I always double/triple check my apps before faxing.. My main 3 companies I write I could write them blindfolded-

Based on everything I have learned, you would be the exception.

Then don't send in NGO apps. The IMOs aren't doing this because they need busy work. They are doing this because they are tired of sloppy agents sending in sloppy apps that get held up in pending. They are trying to help agents get paid faster by scrubbing the app. Also, the carrier is still going to post the info online about what is pending. You can always call just like now.

Just thinking of one in particular where I am trying to help someone out. I told an agent explicitly not to do something on an app, 5 seconds later he faxes over an app he just worked on and did exactly what I told him not to do.

That app would have gotten held up at the carrier, but I just made him fix it and now he won't have a problem.

I was not criticizing Imo's for their performance. I was simply saying that I can do my own application buffing. I have been doing this for a number of years and understand that in incomplete application delays commissions and I am motivated by commissions. My only experience with an Imo that required that I send my apps to them resulted with me knowing something was required (such as a new illustration) two days before the "administrator" in their office notified me.

Point is...I check my pending business everyday with every carrier. If someone cannot do this then perhaps they do need some help.

Either way, it is what works best for the agent. Should be their choice.

Ultimately it is. After all, you get to pick your IMO. ;)

Now I do agree, there is no point in an IMO putting themselves into the mix if they aren't capable of following through on NGOs in a timely fashion.
