Greetings everyone!
I am laying the groundwork to open an office this summer...and am going through all my due dilegence at this time.
Here is the largest question I have looming:
Do I sign up as an office for an existing ind agency or try and form my own and get appointments directly from the carriers?
Does anyone have any input or thoughts?
FYI, I have not sold insurance in about 9 years. I did build and eventually sell a decent sized company since then. I dont know if that will help with anything.
The way I see it now, I should open up an office as a branch of someone else to overcome any problems with direct appointments and still have ownership of my book? Or is there more I shoulld look at?
Also, if anyone has any contacts or company's in the midwest (MN and WI in particular) that would be great!
Thank you.
