Is Cold-calling Dead?

Cold-calling is one of the best ways to get started... but I wouldn't want to be doing it after 1-2 years. Gotta have a way and a process to transition out of that method of prospecting.

Personally, I would build up to where you're primarily working on professional introductions... and perhaps doing some local educational workshops/seminars.

Unless you have a lot of capital &/or a pre-existing network that is ideal for your target market profile... cold-calling is probably the best way to go. Yes, it's a grind... so you've got to know how you'll transition out of it. But the sooner you get started, numb yourself to the discomfort, learn to even enjoy it... the sooner you'll be one of those people who CAN cold-call... but is too busy writing business and getting great referrals to do it.
