Is Forester's and Presidential Life the Only FE Companys Accepted in NY

If you want to learn about companies and commissions, contact Josh on here...Ignore the others as they probably are not nearly as knowledgeable on the subject as Josh is

The things about selling in NY is that any commission over 50%...take it. Remember...you are competing with the same carriers in "NY". So any decent carrier you can get there, one should still bank as all agents are all in the same boat.

Not sure if this is making sense but basically you deal with the same issues and competition as...your competition.

That's half true. There are still decent contracts available. The 50% cap is law, but they have "expense compensation" or some stuff like that to get it up to around 100% with some carriers. Street is 50%, but if you're trying to recruit and/or have production, you can definitely get higher than that. All told, I wouldn't do business in NY and I lived there for most of my life.

It's super competitive.

There is a guy on here that goes by the screen name Earner. He's in New York and offers training with contracts (I'm pretty sure). Contact him through here if you can or I can get you his number if I still have it. Maybe he is close by you for in person training (ride alongs).

Thanks Ben.

Yes, I can help with contracts and more important I can show you how to do FE in NY, soup to nuts. In deference to forum etiquette, I'll direct you to my post on the Offers section for my contact info.

Ditto this...

My agency is based in NY and the "expense reimbursement allowance" gives us a lot of leeway with comp but as Josh pointed out, you need to have production.

Then again, if you want top contracts you're going to need production no matter what state you're in....:spinny:
