It's a girl!!!

Well, I just came in from seeing my family practitioner.. Have anemia that doesn't seem to be of a common variety. He is sending me to an oncologist so to those that pray, please pray that it is something minor.. One bout with cancer is enough..
You've sure had more than your share of illnesses Louis. You're a tough old bird. My prayers are with you!!!

Hey louis, I am certainly praying for the most benign of diagnoses. As you do have a history of cancer, you too may be interested in the bacon//keto discussions in the bacon thread. There is more and more research showing that cancer is not a disease of mutation but of damaged cellular mitochondria, and that the agent of this damage is hyperinsulinemia and our contempoary high SUGAR high starch diets.

True story: My wife's mother was diagnosed with stage 4 metatstatic lung cancer that had spread everywhere: her liver, bones, colon, etc. (she never smoked a day in her life). Her doctors gave her 3 months to live. A visiting cancer specialist told her that she would likely have an easier time of it and might buy some more time if she were to cut out all processed sugars and all grains (including corn, which is in fact a grain) and all products made from flour. Eat meat and veggies, and eliminate sweets as much as possible.

She ultimately succumbed to the cancer, but she lived for over two years from the time of her diagnosis. And her quality of life was quite high until the last six weeks when she really turned for the worse. Many of the tumors and lesions shrank and disappeared during that time. That was almost 10 years ago. knowing now what I did not know then about diet, nutrition, and fasting, I wonder if we could have saved her had we known to try an extended water only fast to "starve" the cancer cells in her lungs which ultimately caused her lungs to fail.

Here are a few youtube videos you might find interesting. Two books you might want to find are Remarkable Recovery and Tripping Over the Truth.

Love you Louis, and praying for you daily.

Thanks... There is so much contradictory info that you have a hard time deciding what to do. The main thing the Drs. griped at me about the last time was that I was not eating enough.. They said the cancer consumed so many calories that I needed to take in a minimum of 3000 calories daily in order for my body to fight it. I did not start on the raod to recovery until after I allowed them to put in a PEG feeding tube.

One of my best friends got cancer around 10 years ago and was given a 25% chance to live. He took ALL sugar out of his diet(he said it stimulates the cancer) and everything he ate was made from scratch. He also bought lots of carrots and made carrot juice. He beat the cancer and is healty today. His brother got cancer after he did and had a 50% chance to live. He followed the same diet and also survived and is also healthy.

Why do we love the things that are bad for us?

The original diagnosis of mine was "Massive and incurable" Told me to go home and plan my funeral..That was 8 years ago. Diet didn't change much until I was into the radiation treatment.. Then I quit eating almost completely.

Your attitude has to have something to do with it too. Just like that great avatar of yours says, "NEVER GIVE UP"!!!

Eat only fresh or fresh frozen foods. Lots of fruits and vegetables. Only lean protein with fish at least twice a week. Eat red meat sparingly. Lean beef no more than once per week. Avoid sugar and all refined foods.
