I've noticed a lot of Final Expense job postings....is this a fad?

Agreed. Successful agents (some) are getting out of the field and training others to do what they are and were successful at.
There are even more unsucessful agents doing it... They think if they can't (or won't) make in sales, they will make it by having other people sell it for them.

The insurance companies could get rid of these lazy mooching FMO twits in one simple move. All the insurance company would have to do is pay everyone the same commission. That way the worthless lazy bum FMO's could never get agents to work for them unless they actually had something to bring to the show that makes them worth a cut in the agents commissions. The way the insurance companies have it set up now its just another Multi Level Marketing scheme. No different then Amway. Multi Level Marketing schemes have always been magnets for the lazy and the scammers and so has the insurance business.
