Liberty Mutual

No- there is a program for Indy reps for home and auto. However, you cannot be appointed by Safeco and Liberty Mutual personal lines.

It's a nice option to be able to write with them but there is no book ownership, MOO and LM own the book.

That is not full correct... I can sell the book to anyone appointed by MOO. I have also made arrangements for the LM book to be passed to my wife if I pass away.

Liberty just announced about a month ago that they will get rid of all their customer service reps Country wide! They have around 18 months & I think it will start early next year in stages. All service calls will go to the agent or a call center.

Some High producing agents (10 policies a week) get an assistant, so some of the CSR's may be offered that.

i currently work for liberty. same as mentioned above. base 45k during training then 25k for the first year. they provide leads. online leads. the no residual commission sucks. based on the commission payouts im trying to figure out how one make 100k here, you have to bind like 50 policies or more a month? year over year. I heard met life home and auto pays 7% residual?
they do but is extremely preferred and closing ratio is much lower. Also underwriting is ridiculous.

Yeah Met captive would be the worst choice of all. Why bother as they appoint independents anyway? They have an awesome product (in fact Encompass somewhat copied it...) but they'll only be competitive on super preferred stuff. They're a financial services company so when the markets get bad they're going to SMASH your P&C policyholders on rates.

I get I get 22/15 w/ Met right now.
