Liberty Mutual

I am in the process of applying with and I'm hoping some of this information is out of date. I was told that the base is $50,000-$55,000 and tapers off as commissions increase. Is it really 100% commission after 4 Months?

Appreciate any and all feedback from you pros.

Every bit of that information is incorrect unless they have change something. Generally the base salary is 35,000 when you were in training and it drops down to 25,000 when you go on commission as long as you hit a certain level you can lock that salary in.most the commissions pay anywhere around 10% but the renewals are only about 1 to 2%

Hello, I am wanting to get into the insurance field. I would love to get into sales within insurance because I feel as though I could be successful in that role. I haven't heard much about the inside sales job at Liberty Mutual. But from what I have heard, it appears to be a good job to start my insurance sales career.

I was wondering if anyone currently works or has worked at Liberty Mutual as an inside sales representative.

If so, could you share with me your experience with working at liberty and also in the inside sales division? What kind of commission/bonus structure is it?

THANKS!

FYI if you want to take advantage of what this career has to offer, you need to be getting much more renewals and/or open an agency. Liberty Mutual would be a great start, but plan to get out & open your own agency within 2 years

I stayed there for 5 years and only made about 20k a year on a 2 million dollar book. However they provided great training.

Good place to start. My base was 20k Positive: 1. You will learn the basics 2. Good benefits 3. There is call in business w/ lead days Negatives: 1. Only learn what they want you to know. 2. Residuals suck! You basically start over each year. 3. Sales requirements always increase and never decrease even after working there for 20 years. 4. They do major layoffs about every 2-3 years. 5. NO service / CSR's in the local office. This is going to cause A LOT more service work for agents who are only paid on new business and not retention. I made over $100k my second year. Good place to start. Have an exit plan with a savings account.
