Lincoln Heritage 100% Contracts

Because they pay fast and they approve most applications. From my research it appears that I can get the fastest start with them. I may be wrong, but thats how I feel at this time.

I totally understand that. I'm new to final expense myself but as little as I've been in the field doing FE I have noticed that LH policies are not competitive price wise which means that you'll be prey for the lions.

You can get 100% anywhere if you send them enough business. I'm not sure who to contact out there but if you call into the home office in Phoenix they can point you to someone. You just have to ask what they need to put you on a 100%.

If you have experience and proof of production it would help a lot. If you are not going to be doing a lot of business it would be easier to get a high contract as an independent.

In my agency we have production requirements for contracts. The more you can produce the higher your contract goes. But all the groups are different.

Thanks I'll try that. What level does your group start at?

I don't think I'll have problems with chargebacks. I've sold Primerica policies years ago and they got the most expensive term product and I hardly got any chargebacks. I know how to win people over and build relationships with clients.

Well, you are wrong. Selling overpriced crap to seniors will be replaced.

And, if you know how to do all that then why o with the bottom of the barrel?

Who are you contracted with?

What are your recommendations?

I'm with EFES. I was given a more than fair contract to start with and can move up based on production. I've sold Med Advantage and Med Supp ( mostly Med Supp over the last 4 years ) but had no prior FE experience.

RNA, Mon., Americo, 5 Star, Oxford, AmAm, UHL, even Foresters, are all head and shoulders above LH and/or SL.

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not trying to be captive. LH agents are not captive from my understanding. I just want to get started by writing for LH. I will contract with other Companies too.

None of those are captive companies. LH is pretty much captive. They will tell you they are not but they will contract you and treat you as captive.

I don't know who that is, but you can get better contracts with cheaper leads by going with a place like EFES. At least then you'd have a chance at making a living this time around. Or, go indy and get even better contracts and make your own leads.

Only if you go on the retail side. When I was dropping my own mail and receiving an average of 7/1000 back my lead cost over $65/lead. I welcomed the LH leads at $30/lead. I did not like the chargebacks though.

Well I just wanna get back in the game and start closing business. From what I understand they pay very fast and most their apps are approved. Thats very important to me at this time.[/QUOTE]

That is definitely true. LH does pay fast, but with reduced lead costs will come with lower commissions, potential chargebacks, as well as a 2 year vesting in most cases.

True but JD does make a good argument for chargebacks. I would at least considering what he states because he is a seasoned pro.

But, remember that every agency, agent, upline and downline are all dropping mail to these people in the FE market, unlike your overpriced Primerica clients who usually purchase via warm market intros. These seniors are looking for better deals and with them receiving at least 2-3 cards per month (at least my 76 year old mother does) they are bound to check on the lower rates and wham you will be replaced.

I say all this because on one hand I believe that LH has the best agent support service at the home office compared to other companies (except GPM Life, and Settlers they are equals) but when the smoke clears the room you may not receive the reward you are looking for by going doing it as a captive agent in the FE market.

I would at least call EFES and check on their retail programs, along with Securus. At least you would have enough info to make an informed decision.

Yeah EFES was actually my first choice until I heard about people having trouble getting released. I don't know if thats true or not but I'de rather be direct.

You've made some valid points. I guess I have to weigh out the options and make some phone calls and see whats what.
