Does LH consider chewing tobacco the same as cigarettes? Have a female who chews and the LH agent initially marked yes for tobacco then crossed it out and had her initial but agent didn't initial.

She says she made sure he knew she uses tobacco. But then again she did initial however he may have told her LH doesn't consider chew same as cigarette.

What is the insurance company remedy in such a situation? Adjustment of benefit based on actual premium paid or policy rescission if death within 2 years?

You put your phone on speaker when you are sitting with your client and call Lincoln heritage and speak to their underwriting department and ask them that very question.

Then when they say that they consider that smoking you give them the policy number and say well she was told otherwise what can we do about this?

To channel JD, clients lie.

I personally believe some agents lie, but trying to not be a butt. :)

I dunno but there are a couple of LH agents that work my areas, that seem to think that ALL Smokers should answer NO to the tobacco question. lol

Yeah I had one like that yesterday. He was a smoker and had COPD and somehow got non-smoking rates with level coverage. She had two policies one was just over two years old and the other was four years old. Normally an easy replacement but the COPD and smoking caused the problem LOL.

I wish the departments of insurance would really cracked down on shady agents.

Like that Robin Cano chick that puts up all those big numbers with One Life. Heard she replaced the policy on someone we all know here with a higher price product and forged the client signature. And of course she forgot the replacement form... Again!

Wow, that is pretty messed up. Unfortunately, the crooks in our trade tend to muddy things up for the rest of us!

I'll let the fellow Hoosier reveal himself if he wishes to. Robin Cano is a crook. I wonder how many times I need to put that on the insurance form until it gets to the top of Google?

You mean they answer "non smoker" when they do the phone interview also. If thats the case then thats collusion between PI and the agent. But correct me if I am wrong.
