I recently was licensed as a P&C producer in Michigan. I started working for an Independent Agency, however I feel that the commission offered to me seems really low (50%) of the total commission. I was recently talking to a friend that mentioned that there are company's out there that someone can join and pay a monthly flat fee, is this true and how much would this fee be? And if so, who are these company's? I do have a fully functioning office that I can access.

Net worked,Agent Secure, Insurance Noodles charge a min monthly fee
a monthly fee and pay 10% of commission.

Try my compensation package with 10 years exp and my cic 20k base salary and 40% after i have to give 20% back to the corporate parent. we are a branch operation

Our independent agents generally make 60/40 or 70/30 depending on the situation. We are licensed in Michigan as well, let me know if you'd like to chat.

I am with Security Insurance. I used a lot of the other guys in the past such as; noodle, networked, agent secure. They are the easiest to use and pay the most.

Security generally starts their new guys out @ 13% and you go up from there. They then offer profit sharing on top of that
