Looking for Company That Will Set Appointments with My Lead Cards

If they're not home when you drive by their house, just leave a "delivery notice" with your contact info on the door. They'll call you when they get home and you can go visit them right then or set your appointment.

If they ask what you are delivering, tell them you are delivering the free information they requested about the Soc. Sec. death benefit, the high costs of funerals, and the state regulated plans that are available.
 
If you have the extra money to invest into a telemarketer you could have the them cold call a targeted list to generate more leads.

An experienced agent will always do a better job telephoning a stack of leads than a telemarketer without life insurance selling experience.


I agree with all the responses on here (inc other threads) that its better for the agent to do it themselves...all things being equal. But unlike your response here Readon, Im NOT afraid....afraid is doorknocking a lead when u 1st get in this industry- THAT WAS SCARY!! I got over it, and actually like it now, but its time consuming & waste a lot of gas at times!

But back to appt setting...Im not afraid, Im just not very good, so I am looking into someone else doing it. Im not saying I will go that route, but I have to consider it...if its a better option! Nothing is for everyone, every agent has to find what works for him/her!
 
I realized what I didn't like was setting an appointment without pre-qualifying. Also factoring how much I was getting tired of door-knocking and paying an appointment setter to sit down with folks who were on oxygen, etc.

I did some research and figured out how to qualify professionally and quickly for urgency and need within 5 minutes over the phone. I enjoy business much better that way.

Just find what works for you AND you enjoy at the same time and hammer away. It's different for everyone, and while nothing will be perfect all the time, you still got to do what will keep you in the game over the long-term.

Do share, did your research on qualifying prospects come from this forum? If so, can you point in the right direction or share your qualifying questions?
 
I'll give y'all a recent example:

I telephoned an older lead (<90 days old) for the first time earlier this week.

The lady came off as disinterested and said they had already taken care of their insurance with Globe and AARP -- she asked me to call for the husband later.

Now, I get the feeling my old appointment-setters might have recorded the conversation as "not interested, has insurance." I'd go ahead normally and burn that lead.

Well, with this one, I decided I was going to door-knock the lead -- Rousemark went along with me yesterday to do so.

Turns out we sold a policy to both and Rouse generated a referral to call on their daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids.

This never would have happened without me working the lead originally over the phone -- you catch so much more subtleties like tonality that you never get when reading the results of an appointment setter who says "NI -- has ins."


I would have door knocked any way. If they tell me they have insurance I am going.

Look up the Appointment Solution. Or just PM me and I'll give you my old lead appointment setter I used to use before calling on lead cards myself.

When it comes to setting appointments or getting in the door when door knocking the key is to create curiosity. Making them thirsty for more information will get you in the door
If you become good at that your income will skyrocket.
