I am currently working as an Accountant but looking to get into insurance. I worked for an insurance Co in college and should have stuck with it. I have had several intereviews and companies seem to be very "interested". I tried to contract with Farmers but couldn't supposedly because of my credit score. That's ok, I had a really bad experience with the recruiter anyway. I have been reading some other posts and have gathered most people think it is best to go independent. What is the best way to go about this? Contract with some suggested companies(on the forum) and buy leads? Any advice would be appreciated. I have somewhat of a stable income and need to keep that coming in as I am the main breadwinner right now, so probably will have to start part time at first.
