Do mail drop leads exist like telemarketed leads where you can request certain criteria i.e. income and if the customer has a checking and/or savings account? Anybody?

Income, yes. And you could filter by renting or owning the home. There would be really no way to know if they have a bank account or not by doing a mail drop.

Re: Leads?

Plus one for what tins said.

Also, you can run estimated FICO scores check for the presence of credit cards in the home. Those are all standard filters and the price doesn't change under those circumstances.

Income is a filter that's available, problem with it is there's really no good way to source it.

Another thing to consider if you're doing mail is to do an National Change of Address scrub on it to filter bad addresses.

Thanks guys! Good stuff-In my desire to increase my closing ratio on door knocks it would be much more advantageous going in if you knew if they had a checking/savings account.

Have any of your agents used that for mail and if so, what's the deliverability been like?

We have had many agents use it. It has been really good. A lot of agents are calling the people also.

Brian F. on here had two appts today from it. He cold call the people. He didnt mail to them.

I've had a couple members of this forum call me and thank me for the discount.

I know of two telemarketing companies using the data to call from.

Even Chris made that video showing you how his agents use it and love it.

Mark,

I understand you (and your agents) are using that data to mainly cold call, which obviously takes a great deal of time to call a significant # of ppl to get enough responses to fill their day.....do u by any chance know the ratio (apprx) of # of calls they are making to get an 1 appt? Just wondering how that works.....maybe 1 full day on the phone & the next in the field?

Most the agents use a dialer system. Everytime you hang up the phone, there is another person to talk to. (Meaning for you to start your script or gameplan on.)

I can't last but 2 hours without wanting to die, but I always can get at least 1 appt in 2 hours.

If you use the dialer for 8 hours, you will end up with at least 3 to 4 good appts. You can get more if you offer them something to let you come visit with them. But they are harder to close. Most just want the free gift. I alway feel like if I can just get my foot in the door, that I have a good chance in helping them.

I have some scripts that I can share with you. Call me and I will help you come up with something. Matt Mccray on here has the hook up on scripts, dialer and tons of stuff. I get a discount on all his stuff.

When talking about the numbers you have to dial in order to make an appt or sale...it is a lot. Most people are not going to answer the phone. The dialers are a must have if you are going to cold call.

When I have agents that are broke and bored and beg for something to do, I put them on the dialer and they learn fast.

I use to have to dial down the phonebook, when I got started and I hated it. I hate cold calling. It is a punishment to me for not prospecting in other areas better.

My goal has always been to write 1 or 2 apps a week. I knew that I would make more money than my friends do, if I did this and I could make a good living.

1 day of dialing can do this. But...you have to be willing to travel. and lots of other things.

I know of agents that dont use dialers and still just cold call. Just spoke to Brian F. on here, and that is what he does.

I get discounts on all kinds of things and if you use them together, you can make some money.

http://www.webinarwithchris.com/ I just watched Chris Video today. He shows how he imports the data and everything.

I was taught to make my own leads. Well, they didnt have leads you could buy, so you had to prospect. We all carried Prospect Books, that you had to fill up with people you thought you could go talk with.

Cold Calling and Door Knocking sucks. Bottom of the list of things I want to do, but it can work and work well if you do it correctly.

Wow, thanks for being so helpful....I was just wondering to have other avenues to get leads if I so choose. Im not sure I wanna cold call, but it's another arsenal to have on a day without appts. Speaking of Mike, Im actually going to start off with his lead system (and praying it isnt trash like most- it was highly recommended tho), so once I do that, & find out if it works or not, I'll know if I need to look into cold calling/mailers/etc. I will bookmark that site & may even watch that video....THANKS AGAIN!!

PS- Do u have any knowledge of how well Matt McCray's Telemarketing leads are??

If I dont sell 2-3, I will be very disappointed.....now if the leads are good enough to where I see more then 6 of those & I don't close them, then thats on me!! But Im starting with 20 next month & I hope (even new) to close 4-5min. Maybe Im shooting high....if so, oh well, thats my goal & Im sticking to it!!

Im new to insurance (and this demographic), but not to in-home sales!!
