You mean come 2014? No. Carriers can apply rate increases (I believe) just based on age and location and I "think" to smokers.

Yes, referring to 2014. For example, in my state BC can increase rates up to 300% for children with health issues. I wonder if that will apply to adults?

I wonder how the transition will work in 2014. When will the insurance companies tell us what our role will be (if we have a role) and when our services will no longer be needed?I'm betting we'll learn that in December of 2013. I can already see the letter, "Thanks for all your help but you are no longer needed. Therefore all contracts have been cancelled and commissions will not be paid".

But yes, Congress and the WH are exempt from Obamacare.

It's nothing unusual. Congress has placed political exemptions in the DNC, Can-spam, spam fax laws and others.
