I've spoken to folks every day this AEP whose doctor told them they're not taking Humana anymore ("too slow to pay"), or the only private hospitals in their area aren't taking MAPD plans anymore (just the crappy local public hospital), or XYZ Health Group is not going to be in-network with Humana next year. Between the network shrinkage, the # of Plan Exits, and the skyrocketing MOOPs, it's been rough at times. BUT, I'm optimistic things will improve greatly next year with a new regime at CMS.

This. This cause was and is the Democrat regime. They cut Medicare payments to doctors and hospitals....they also cut payments to insurers, while simultaneously forcing them to take on a million extra costs with the supposed "Inflation Reduction Act."

Obviously this is gonna force insurers to reign in some payments, which further cuts doctors and hospitals down. It's all connected. One domino falls, they're all going down with it. This is all deliberate chaos.

Doctors and hospitals will predictably feign that "it's all about looking out for the patients," while simultaneously bashing Medicare Advantage plans as a trojan horse strategy, when we all know it's all about the money.

Funny how it wasn't an issue before all of these cuts happened, but now it suddenly is. Regardless, the government/CMS are getting a full clean out soon, so I predict things will go back to normal.

I mean, I hope these hospitals and doctors realize that doing this is just cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Tons of people aren't suddenly going to switch over to Medigap and start paying $300-$400/month, when they're used to paying $0, just because you're not taking MAPD plans anymore.

They're just gonna find a doctor/hospital who does take it. Obviously nothing wrong with Medigap, either, but when people are used to $0, BELIEVE ME, 99% are gonna be staying there.

If hospitals think this is actually doing anything productive, they are horribly mistaken. Most people are already cash-strapped as it is....even if they wanted to stay with that particular hospital, many just fiscally can't.

Too many factors working against the hospitals for them to have any kind of leverage. People are very cash-strapped, far too many people are now on Medicare Advantage plans, and people are way too used to paying almost nothing for their plan.

Telling Mr. and Mrs. Smith that they now have to pay upwards of $700-$800 combined, every single month, simply to stay with a particular hospital, is just not gonna happen in the VAST majority of cases. Believe me, I talk to these folks every single day.

Money is always the most important factor for most people I speak to nowadays.

Relax. Quit gaslighting. Folks here call out
The fact the program is bankrupt. So is Medicare and Social Security. Spending is off the cliff and the music is going to stop reset and start fresh at some point.

GET Off your high horse bf you get kicked off. 🐴

Someone doesn't know what gaslighting means. Cute.

Ouch
Thats a lot of switching and waste of time.

I added 50 new people. Not switching my own. I had to move my clients who lost Aetna and Fl blue ppo.

We have 3 companies offering PPOs in orlando next year, not including simply. Because, why?

If I have to move them in the future, so be it.

Chazm ppo's dieing . A regional told me that a yr ago and i didn't believe him . Cigna pulled there ppo's in many states and didn't touch the hmo's . Anthem shelved all there ppo's nationwide weeks before they made non commissionable plans. It's something to do with the star ratings and much less money on ppo's

The chaos will stop with Trump. It's nothing to worry about anymore. He is gonna be ending the supposed Inflation Reduction Act as soon as he gets in office.

lol lol . I don't think Trump gives 2 shits about Medicare . He's focused on the us military deporting millions of illegals . That's a huge job. Thats the only think I like Trump for . I'm tired of being places were nobody speaks English . I'm tired of running into 100's of people with visas getting free Obamacare . I'm tired of refugees getting off the boat and getting free health insurance when Americans can hardly get it . This next one really bothers me . Amir brings is 80 yr old mother from Bangkok. She never paid a penny of taxes . Not eligible for Medicare but gets free Obamacare. Time for Trump to stop all that
