MAPD TRIAL RIGHT PART II

Have a client on an old Transamerica MS policy that isn't being sold at this point, so we will end up using another carrier under this MAPD Trial Right.

I am assuming the new carrier will need ...

1. Enrollment form
2. MAPD disenrollment letter
3. Letter from past MS carrier (Transamerica) stating their policies are no longer being issued)

As I have never done this before, and maybe I am over thinking it, I am just looking to hear from someone that has done
this and the process that was used.

Thank you

Is the MS policy still in force? Are you maybe confusing MA being discontinued as opposed to Med Supp only not available to be sold, but still able to be renewed? Just because it is no longer being offered; does not mean it has to be discontinued. I have never seen a MS that was not guaranteed renewable if the premiums are paid.

Brian, this won't work and let me save you a bunch of wasted energy. The Trans supps are indeed still available - but only through an internal Trans agent. The GI Trial Right will not work in your favor. I dealt with this fiasco a couple of years ago.
