Actually had a lead a block down from there... but sometimes I wonder if people won't let me in because of some elaborate drug/meth-making lab that exists inside the house.

Yikes! There are some strange happenings in our niche, that's for sure. About a month ago, I was visiting a lead in inner-city Flint who sent in a card. He was the rudest man I'd ever come across. I felt very uneasy the whole time and I decided to tear up the lead and leave after just a couple minutes. The very same night, I caught a news story that the man had been shot to death in his home in an apparent drive-by. Sad, but I'm glad I got out of that house.

Aren't you glad that you didn't sell him a policy with a conditional receipt pending issue...? That would be a mess to get in the middle of while the company looked for every way in the world not to issue the policy.

That would've been a mess indeed! The thing is, the old guy was 78 years old. He must've really made someone mad, for them to decide to pop grandpa between the eyes.

I find the best thing to do is just not watch the news, or else I'd be afraid to go to work out there.
