Med Sup Carrier Prices

Somarco must write the most expensive plans so his commissions are jacked. Only need 2 or 3 suckers a month over time to make a 6 figure living.

Like life insurance, once it's sold the chances of getting replaced are small. Most people hate the process and won't shop it ever again.

Life insurance is replaced all the time.

Especially when sold as a commodity based solely on price.

Win on price, lose on price.

Win on service and knowledge, very few will get replaced.

I tell everyone up front, my product is exactly the same as what you can get from any other agent or direct from the carrier.

Same product, same price. The difference is you don't get me if you enroll with someone else.

And if you later decide you made a mistake, don't bother to call. You have one chance to let me be your agent.

I have never employed the hard sell and I don't "close" prospects in the traditional sense, but I do make it clear what I bring to the table and let them decide.

About 98% of the time they buy from me.

I don't chase people. I move on and let them be some other agents problem.

One of the best posts on the entire forum right here folks.

Your product is not special. And it could be taken off the market tomorrow.

If the person does not care about your expertise and the service you provide, they are not a client, just a policyholder.

If they cant see your value. Move on.

If you dont provide value beyond the product. You deserve to get replaced.

And that goes for any and every type of insurance.

What do y'all mean by "application fee"? and why is it bad?
I was responding to some doom and gloom post where the poster was predicting that we'd be paying $10 to the carriers for each application we submitted.

My response was not only no but hell no.

There are still companies out there that charge a contracting fee when you contract with them. Needless to say I don't represent any of those companies.

ROFL!!!!!

Some people make buying decisions without regard to the most important aspect of health insurance . . . "Is it covered, do I have unfettered access to health care, and wiill my claims be paid?".

While others are more interested in free stuff.

My focus always is, and always will be, on taking care of my clients health. Insurance is for the big stuff that can't be covered by cash, a check or credit card.

Peddlers skim over the meat and go right for the shiny stuff.

When my clients are diagnosed with cancer, heart attack or stroke I doubt the first thing on their mind is gym membership and free dental cleaning. And I don't have to tell them MD Anderson and Cleveland Clinic are not in their network.

YMMV
Multiple med sup carriers offer the free gym perk so you now you know. If you spend time telling someone to use goodrx to save $5 on a script I'd figure you share that if they are paying $90/mo to Lifetime gym here's an easy way to get that gym for free. Might make sense to pay $30/mo more for your supp to save the $90 but what do I know??
