Med Supp Reading Info

Awesome guys. Thanks for the info. Found a ton to read on. I'm one of the smartest people I know, but of course one of the worse spellers. So sorry to Moonlight. I usually always do spell check, but it was spelled correctly, just not the right word. LOL....../quote]

Well, you certainly have proved that. The word in the correct tense is "worst"!

Anyway, congartulations on passing your test and good luck!;)

Get off your high horse Dwayne. Paul (M&M) is one of the most astute, intelligent guys on this forum. Even his sarcasm contains gems of wisdom. Hopefully you might be able to learn something from him.

Some of you may disagree, but there's an association called NAMSA -- National Association of Medicare Supplement Advisors. This program also includes MA, in spite of the name. Founder and president is Ron Iverson in Helena, MT 406-442-4016. Ron writes all the Medicare books sold by WebCE. You get a lot of CE credits with this solid training program, plus a lot of basic product and sales knowledge not normally available, especially through the carriers. They just push their specific products, and don't deal in the important "generic" information that you're asking about. Give Ron a call to find out more if you feel like it. You can always say, "Thanks, but no thanks!".

Ron's material is truly first rate. I bought his stuff when I wanted to learn more about Medicare. Unbelievably thorough.

Agreed. Even after being in the industry a long time, I passed the course and now have my MSAA designation. Well worth the few bucks. I've suggested it to newbies and vets alike.

Some people know it all already - most of them have been in the business about a year so this course would not be of value to them.

By the way, Ron's weekly newsletter is terrific and discusses not only Medicare, but health insurance "reform" as well.

I have called Frank and he is the man. I will be going with him, but just didn't want to bug him too much until I got my license approved so I could get appointed.

Thanks for the kind words. Don't ever hesitate to pick up the phone and give me a call. I always have time to talk to agents.
