I wouldn’t go so far as to call it socialist because blue AND red states do it. Sadly, state insurance commissioners have an incredible amount of power over insurance producers. Very little recourse if they choose to use it against you. You can fight it with an administrative judge but it’s a kangaroo court. They’re required to give deference to the insurance commissioner.

Not just producers but everyone else as well.

Here in GA, the insurance commissioner has more police power than any other law enforcement agency.

He's the only one that doesn't have to have a court order or a warrant to come into your house or office and take your stuff.
