Meritain Health Insurance

Has anyone had any experience with this company? Are they group only? I have a prospect that has them. Got the lead in the summer. Now he's biting on my lead miner e-mails. The lead says he is paying $151/month and I think he's coming off group.

I have a commission check from them sitting on my desk... I think they handle World's dental plans...

My husbands group policy uses Meritain and Beech Street. I believe Meritain is the administrator/customer service, and Beech Street is the insurance co. I have never been able to talk with anyone at Beech Street, strictly computer generated prompts. Not helpful at all. Seems that the coverage is much less than other insurance companies, especially lab charges. They don't seem to have any relationships with them. Meritain is helpful, but often tell me to contact Beech Street for more info, which is impossible. A great run around.

Beech St is a PPO network, and a weak one at that. Meritain is an administrator.
