She has always been up front with me and was actually declined with a policy I helped her apply for. The problem is that now she's being declined for dementia when that's not what she has.
Check with the MIB directly to see what their procedures are. They are no different than a credit company. You should be able to challenge incorrect information and they should have a means to do so. Otherwise, their asses would get sued out of existence.
I mean I've had them correct MIB information for john smith jr, when john smith senior informationd ended up there. They can't just turn away a challenge to incorrect information. They aren't the government..
The other thing I thought was true about the MIB was they are the clearing house for insurance claims. If they were only about applications accepted and denied, they wouldn't be of that much use would they? I was under the impression the MIB had medical records for procedures performed, so when the insurance applicant answers "no" to heart condition, the MIB has a flag for the triple bypass five years ago and they have you ask again. Then decline.
If some of you are saying they only have data about applications, I may have to go back and review. While I know they have that information there, I was under the impression they were a storehouse of medical claims.
