Millionaire Agents???

SportsNut...I thought he was asking about Agents making a million from selling insurance...did I misread it?

Great advice in any case....thank you.

"Do millionaire agents really exist?"

Millionaire is based upon ones net worth, meaning the liquidated value of your worth... not really what they earn. So it is about what you keep, after taxes and expenses.

If an agent makes a million, or theoretically 5 million next year, and spends it all, is he a millionaire...? No...

Very few agents are making that kind of cash per year, either 1 mil or more, unless they own a large agency... but there are many who makes far less and invest well, and they can easily become worth more than a mil...

So I guess this is how I read the question, is it possible to be worth 1 mil or more from your career as in ins sales...? That doees not mean to me that you must earn 1 mil per yr.

millionaire agents exist in the same proportion in the agent world as millionaires exist in the regular. There are some, but agents fall along a bell curve of sorts for production.

You could check the MDRT. I would imagine those at the top of that table are the ones you're looking for.

Could you be a million dollar agent? What does your average client look like? There's your answer.

I have met in my career a couple of agents who were at the level of annual income:

Dan Burnett (Indiana formerly NML)

Dave Sprinkle (NML/Todd Org)

I think Lipscomb may have done it and perhaps Stinnett as well (Stinnett has other issues now).

Burnett once did a seminar in Milwaukee for the annual meeting where he brought it $1M cash under security to show agents what it looked like. He was not a guy you'd want to have a beer with but a very successful agent.

The father of The Todd Org., John Todd, no doubt made much more that that.

Those were the ones I was most familiar with at NML. I am sure each of the majors has a level of agents who make that level of income per year.

The key is to look at the cases they write and markets the work.

Too late! I'm calling "bad grammar."

As far as making a million, are you asking in one year? Many of us have either made a million or are on track to make a million. I would guess that a relatively high percentage of agents on this board earn anywhere from $100-200,000 per year selling insurance. That will get us to a million in 5-10 years.

Quick Question: Do millionaire agents really exist? I'm fairly new to the business and was wondering if this was true or simply a myth.
There are 3 mm+/yr producers at my agency. I think it will be very hard to do that with individual health and term life. They work with HNW business (keyman, b/s, deferred comp, 412, group health) and estate plans. One of em only does prem financing and does about 10mm/yr. You have to keep moving up your target market and clientele to hit it one day IMO.

You need to go to the Producers alliance Website . They have a nonstop money machine which is the quickest and easiest way to earn a multiple six figure income .According to them a million is no sweat.

made millions.

Of course he may have to give some of it back . . .
