Met a lady who has Minnesota Life, does not have a policy but a letter that states Insured: Jane Doe, Policy Number:, Sponsor: State of Georgia.

Supplemental Life: 71,000
Spouse: 30,000

If the spouse passes does Mrs Doe, still have 71,000 insurance?

Those answers should be in the employee handbook. If they do not have their handbook, call Human Resources who should be able to answer those questions. Many variables concerning surviving spouse, employment status, etc.. That is the best direction I can give based on information provided.
