Monumental Life Lead Program

HoosierDaddy,

I see that you say that you can average 1% in most places except KY, GA, AR. I live here in good ol Atlanta, GA so can I expect my mailouts to be unsuccessful? Are there any agents on here from GA that are having any success with FE direct mail? I am hoping to start selling FE and hope someone may have some feedback.

Sam, read what he wrote, he made 5 appointments in two hours of calling. thats a great job...

NOW the presure is on, he has to sell 2-3 to be the man....
The best way to get new business is working your customer base. I f you have Med Supp or FE policyholders and they like and trust you you will have no problem if you work them for more coverage or for the name of a family member..friend...people who go to Church with them and if you are out and going by a store strike up a conversation and tell them what you do. Give them a Bus.. Card. They will remember you or better yet on some people you can set up the call by just getting their pho. number. You have got to prospect .I think sometimes we miss opportunities by just not thinking insurance all day.

I tried 2 separate mailers with the Monumental lead program as a test. The 1st one turned back 10 and 2 sales. Decent profit. This last one only returned 6 and 2 of them were from the same person! Thank God I made a sale to a husband/wife combo to clear my costs and some very minor profit here. I think I am going to take a pass on moving forward with more.

Got an e-mail from Monumental last week. They have revamped their mail piece and want agents to retry it. They normally mail for $275 per thousand but are offering agents who got low returns before a half price deal up to the number of drops you did previously.
They said I can do 8,000 pieces at $135 per thousand.
I almost deleted the e-mail before I caught that.
If you dropped with them before I would call them if you want this deal.
Kudos to Monumental for stepping up and not penelizing the agents when trying new things. Quality company.

Scott,

Did you take that offer? If you did what were the results with the revamped mail piece?

I staggered the mailings because I have a lot going on right now. 2000 have dropped and I would say they are getting 1% return which is good for this area.
I haven't run them yet so I don't know the quality.
The lead piece and the system to get the leads to the agent quickly seem fine.
I would try them out if I were you. Monumental is a good FE company to have. They are doing a lot of things right.
