We should see something in writing soon, but from what I am hearing, the Plan N with mutual will be essentially guarantee issue (except in some states where they will ask...do you have end stage renal failure?). Her husband is 66 and has Plan F with United of Omaha, he just got a rate increase on his plan F and it's going up to $132.78 from $96.47. I called United of Omaha and asked if the husband wanted to switch to Plan M or N or the new Plan F under the modernized plans if it would be guarantee issue. It will not be. If you want to switch your clients over to any of the new modernized plans - it is underwritten
AARP/United Health Care clients can make the change to Plans M or N or any of the new modernized plans on a guaranteed issue basis. I might have some clients call and switch from their old Plan F to the new Plan F because the rate is a little cheaper. The # i was told that the clients call is 800-523-5800. The client just needs to say he wants to change over to the newer plans AND that they want to keep you as their agent. They didn't tell me that part yesterday when i called
