I recommend going with 1 group and being a true partner. How much time would you expect a person to spend training and assisting you when you are going to be placing business with someone else?

I have one FMO that I use for life and annuity business, and one for Medicare Advantage products.

Multiples aren't bad so long as you know which company each has you with and you don't try pitting them against each other for more higher commissions...you will be the one screwed in the end of that game.

I have multiples but it was because I went direct to each carrier then the ones that don't contract direct sent me to an IMO who then contacted me about contracting.
