Mutual of Omaha/United of Omaha

I just had three approved after 16 days. Of course, I also had some that were there for 26 days before they were approved.

Is Gerber any quicker on issuing policies? I know it's all done by Moo but maybe they're not as busy. What's the turn around with Gerber....

No difference. It's the very same underwriters as MOO. All my United of Omaha, Gerber and GPM applications show up on the MOO pending report. I've called the MOO underwriting department to check on a UoO case and while I had them on the phone I also had them check on Gerber and GPM apps.

The best you can hope for is to get an underwriter who works efficiently and maybe has a lighter load.

More MoO Reality!

It's the last day of the month. Earlier today my fax flew through MoO without an issue. Now I can't connect at a high enough speed. MoO tryed to connect at 4400 bps .

What makes me want to bust a rib  is MoO's fax machine sounds incredibly weak -- like it's overloaded. My fax worked fine with another carrier.

Wow, could it be -- Mutual is on overload. :swoon:

Goda Luv it! :twitchy:

My Gerber GI Med supp was issued in 2 days....and I had a United of Omaha GI Plan G issue in 2 days. I have about 4 or 5 Plan F's just sitting there - going on about 3 weeks and some N's also. I can't figure out if it's the underwriter that you get that gets them issued quickly or the plan that you're writing????

Just as long as you do not act impolite when you are on the phone to UOO MOO employees. They are overwhelmed because they have a good policy for us agents.

The large block of business , which should shelter rate increases will help us.

I agree! We need to appreciate MoO's massive amount of applications being processed. Let your people know that they may not get anything back from MoO for about 6 weeks.

From an agent's stand point this is the golden opportunity with a limited window of opportunity. We need to appreciated what this means for our business. From the client's standpoint the savings can be substantial. This is the kind of thing that just makes everyone smile.

MoO's fax is back up and running once again. I had no problems yesterday.

The tech guy at MoO told me they are getting 1,300 applications a day! By the end of the year they will own this market! #1 :jiggy:

Looks Like A Few Carriers Are Look'n Like A Fool...

On 6/30 I had a MoO Plan N issued that had been in the que for 24 days. 7/1 I had a Gerber Plan G issued that had been in the que for 28 days. I only have one left (Gerber Plan G) that has been in for about 22 days now. I am really trying to avoid MoO and Gerber because of the length of time to process. If they can get caught up and back to a reasonable processing time, I will start writing more business with them.
