Mutual Of Omaha weirdness ...

Best things in life are free. The big lie told by the man to the masses to press the poor!
That's a matter of context ..? It doesn't cost much to be healthy ... in many ways it's what you don't do ..? A friend of mine pasted away 3 weeks ago from pancreatic cancer ... all the money in the world ... to him, outside of protecting his kin, wouldn't mean so much ..? It's about not taking the simple things for granted?

Even if you live a healthy lifestyle you will, most likely, at one time or another need medical care. That not only costs money, it costs a lot of money. How much are you going to spend on healthy foods? My greatest pleasure has been my children.. they certainly haven't been cheap over the years. I could go on and on but won't. A better saying would be, "nothing in life is free or fair."

I guess I was trying to say that maybe we take the simpler things like health for granted? I get your point. We do live in a b.s. world when it comes to money ... who gets what, etc ... not that I have a better system in mind ... more people should vote and get involved ... won't happen but "it's pretty to think so ..?"

Who can tell me what time signature this starts in ..?
Lol. Kids write papers in college on Tool's time signatures. Danny (the drummer) plays polyrhythms and throughout they will change time sigs frequently in the same song.

Lateralus (from the same album) is done in 6/8, 7/8, and 8/8.

The Grudge is in 5/8 but the beginning (and later in the song) is like 5/4 I believe. Or even 10/8.

Yeah, I get all that ... not my cup of tea ... a bit doom laden ... not to knock em ... they're unique ... he has considerable chops as a drummer ... to me, the "songs" are kinda ... what's the word ... disjointed maybe ... I saw this interview where Maynard put's "lyrics" to the music afterwards ... I liked "Sober" and again, not a diss, they just don't rock my world ... it's like with jazz, the players are off the chain butta ...

I completely get that. They're not for everyone.

I will say that with the passing of Neil Peart, Danny Carrey is probably one of the best drummers on the planet.

This song is as hard as something like JAMBI but it just shows you how wild the rhythms and his kit is:
