My Experience With InsuranceAgents.Com

I ran into an issue with a vendor over a return policy issue and they lost my business....3 years with that vendor at that point in time.

They instituted a 15% return cap. Problem was, I was paying extra for certain filters. They'd send leads that didn't meet the filter parameters and provide a credit against the 15% cap. That plus bogus leads had me hitting that cap quickly. After that, I ate all bad leads.

I'm not sure how that works or if it's even legal despite the TOS. If a product is bad then it's bad. If you buy 20 of something that doesn't work you return all 20. In this case "not working" as defined by disconnected numbers and bogus email addresses.

Re: Stay Away from InsuranceAgents.Com

THE POWER OF THE INTERNETS....amazing.....

Todd's refund request was granted and he was given a refund. We are not out to steal money. When a relationship does not work, we are more than happy to refund a few dollars if it means keeping agents happy.

Thanks again!

Agreed - as I've said before, if any agent is credited on a lead, then any agent who received it should automatically be credited - after all, a lead is either real or bogus. I'm surprised there isn't some attorney out there trawling these boards to find a couple of agents to back a case against these companies for their sales practices - after all we're not talking small change - some of these companies are huge.

I vote with my wallet. Haven't bought a lead since '07. No lead vendor will get a dime of my money. These same vendors switched to Medicare leads...if they plan on playing the same games are gonna be in for a rude awakening.

Some 30 year old who gets slammed with calls all day, every day gets ticked. A senior who gets slammed with calls gets ticked...then contacts their Congressman, the attorney general and anyone else willing to listen.

The last group you want to mess with is seniors - reference the annuity and MA market.

We've all worked lead programs that are frustrating. There's no guarantees anywhere that you'll get an appointment with a lead, even if they agree to it initially, they don't have to be there when the agent shows up.

You can also have alot of detailed information about a lead (health wise or financial information) and you pull an app out only to find out they "forgot" to mention something that blows the appointment right out of the water.

If the telemarketer shows due diligence, and asks all of the right questions to pre-qualify the lead, but they omit or falsify the information, that's beyond their control. If ALL of the leads are like that, time to change telemarketers or providers.

These are tough leads to pay for and not get anything out of them, but again, there are no guaranteed leads.

My wife and I used them and spent $400. Every single lead was old despite being called right away. We were told that we were the 10th person to call and others said they already took care of their insurance. How the heck can a customer be called 10 times or purchase insurance in 30 seconds?! Big ripoff. Try Norvax dot com and you will see the difference.

Did they offer you a refund or anything to make it right?

Norvax has never declined any leads credit requests I made. As for insuranceleads.com, they gave me 2 or 3 credits even though I received 40 bogus leads. Talk about the short end of the stick! Ouch!

To all: insuranceagents.com did in fact issue me a full refund. This was after a bbb complaint. I'm not sure if I would of got the refund without it. Even with the refund it's rediculious to have been lied to even after 2 weeks of my due diligence and questions. You can't make a good decision when the companies sales reps lie. I knew it was a bad idea when they say there is a 30 day contract and $75 cancelation fee. Just file a bbb complaint to get that back.
