My First Week in the Wild World of FE

Leads primarily but also support for tough cases where the IMO has more pull than a single agent.

Knowing the price of leads makes sense to me. Also having a predictable and steady supply. Does not seem that there would be many cases in SIWL that you would need help on. Traditional life is different of course. A newbie needing training is also completely different.

Mainly just asking. Thanks.

EFES also scubs my apps before sending them to the company and that's a help many times. Then there is the con tinuing training available. Maybe I don't need as much training as I did when new but I am constantly learning something from the pros that do the plug and learn calls and also from our group call every Friday morning. There may be a time when I stop learning something about this business but that time hasn't come yet.

I hear you on continuing to learn. I have learned a ton from the diverse agents and their methods here. No absolutes, no perfect way, no wrong way.

You send your business to EFES? I have a couple IMOs that I have to do that with, like Crump. I do not care for that. I prefer to handle my own business. The untrusting side of me does not like knowing if I ever leave they have a copy of everything. Even on fully underwritten business I prefer to handle it all.

Other managers at L.H. would tell you he is an arrogant ass and not very well liked, and think it is pathetic and misleading that he whips out his 1099 at the drop of the hat.

Well , i have not met him face to face yet. I will say I have met and worked with his younger brother Caleb and he is a very good kid. He field trained me in Jax , Fl. He is quick to offer any assistance i need. I asked him why his brother does that with the 1099.. He said it was to show people what is possible. So, if you are the type of person who is money motivated you might be enticed by the broke in debt to rich and successful story. So , he may be arrogant, but he is doing well at LH. In fact he has the top team in the country ...if i was under 30 and making that kind of cash i would probably be like that too. Live and learn.

This is not true at all. I maintain daily contact with a ton of LH managers and he is very well received. I also work with Adam daily and he has always gone out of his way to help me increase my production. We have knocked on doors together many times to perfect his craft.

He still works in the field selling policies to this day. Once in southern Ca I saw him write 16 policies in two days while maintaining an 86% persistency.

Managers from all over the country fly down so they can see how he works his program. He is a straight shooter and honest for sure. And the hardest working person I have ever met in my life.

What I pay for leads is based on production so EFES has to know what I write in order to get proper credit. I can send the app direct to the companies and then send EFES only the first page so they will know what I wrote but I kinda like having another set of eyes go over the apps to catch mistakes, {and sometimes they do}.

It only slows down the process by one day, or less, and since I'm paid as earned and only have a couple of companies that pay daily it's not a big deal on my pay. Two companies only pay the as earned business once a month so it doesn't matter when I get the apps in I'm not getting paid until next month.
