I hear this all the time when door knocking or just talking with people. What's the best way to overcome this objection?

If they are referring to a policy through his work then those typically only cover while they are employed. If you wait until he quits, your age increases as does your premium. Best to lock it in while you are younger.

That's exactly how I'll respond then, just remind them that retirement could leave them uninsured.
I'm also curious how much the average group policy is, I wonder if its really sufficient for most people's needs.
Thank you for the advice

Yeah to add to that, run a quote on them for now and 70 years old. "If you wait it will cost $X more a month."

That's worked for me before.

That's an excellent idea and I will try that. I know that some people just want to blow me off at the door but I think that others have never even looked at their policy from work and just want to assume that it's all somehow been taken care of and nothing to worry about

Good ideas. Now the husbands at work, or if the husbands home he says " I'll have to check with my employer. So how do you get them to commit then.?
Or will you have to come back . Remember we need signatures and a payment ?

I would set up a time to meet with them later on. I usually do that anyways when door knocking

This is the beaty of buying leads. I don't have to deal with people that would not have sent the card in because they have work insurance.

It doesn't matter if you can help them or if they have a dumb plan. They don't want your help and you have intruded on them. That's also why it's so inefficient to cold doorknock.

Yes you have an excellent point, thank you JD. I like leads too. But post isn't about door knocking vs leads I just want advice on dealing with this objection wherever I may encounter it.
