The thing to understand is for the most part that is insurance recruiting for alot of companies, not just the duck. Very few people trying to get you to sign up are straight forward about the job.
I went to work for a well known company under a certain "story" so to speak and found out very quickly, it wasn't so. Of the 10 people I started with in the "bull pen", all but me were gone within a year. It seemed like you were working to create files for a senior agent. I moved out of their offices and paid for my own space as I felt it was "safer" for me to be away from those who were trying to "help" me. You have to realize in some capitive situations the "help" you receive isn't for you other than to "help you out the door, thanks for the client files".
If you decide to stay in the business, believe half the stuff you are told and you'll do OK and realize that you are the ONLY person who cares if you make it or not.
