N/A or Phone Call Screenings on the Increase ?

He just had a 6k week and you are telling him to not be excited about it? I mean, give it a couple of days at least.

Also, knocking 40 doors a week sounds flipping exhausting. Do you do that?

I'm thinking of when I was young and the big goofy old timers would constantly preach not to change what works. Not in fe, but of course I wouldn't listen either, and they were always right. Also, almost 8 hours of dialing and 12 hour field days sounds exhausting to me.

Edit; Holy cow have I gotten lazy. I just realize that I was getting on you for 40 knocks a week when I was forced to do 30 a day with no leads when I was starting at Combined.

Sorry. I take it back. Im a lazy jerk.

lmao Combined sounds tough, (but probably decent training).

It was both of those things. They made us track all our activity on little cards we turned in at the end of the day. We have a minimum number of knocks, face to face meets, full presentation (to close) and sales we had to meet every day. And if you bought leads you got fired. And if you didn't hit your metrics or you didn't sell something one day, didn't hit 2k for the week minimum (100% cold knocking calling on the phone wasn't allowed either) your bosses boss would call you to find out why.

It was high stress, but educational.

Crap, $8,000 AP a month minimum off cold door knocks... I know of many agents that can't sell $8,000 AP a month off of $2,000 worth of leads.

Weren't you averaging at 3-4k a week knocking your first few months? And you're going to mess with that after just a couple days of appointments? I'd be surprised if you do better long term without a significant change in lead order/expanded territory. May need a better route planner and route plan if the problem was actually getting to 20 leads with a 3 knock max (about 40 knocks).

I averaged close to 12k/month, so right around 3K/week (I can't count April as I was away most of the month). This week I am just $100 short of doubling my average weekly production, and I had my first 4k day.

Wouldn't you suggest that I try to replicate that performance over the next few weeks before messing with that?

I have always been a workaholic so long as I was producing a sufficiently rewarding income for my time invested in the activity. What would be exhausting to me would be 8 or 12 hours of anything with little or nothing to show for it at the end of the shift. Last week was exhausting for me as I knocked and knocked and knocked and at the end of the week had little to show for the effort. This week, in addition to being my best productivity since I started, has also been the easiest in terms of doing the work. Admittedly my closing percentage this week has been above my average, so I know all weeks will not go so well.

I'm still in the process of finding what will work best for me, as well as learning how to do it. What this week has shown to me is that it is possible to do as JD does or even what @nfl72 does. NFL calls one day to set appointments for the next day and a half, writes $5K/week, and takes 4 days off. Not a bad gig if you can get it.

You've been a great help to me, krobby, so I'm always open to hear what you have to say.

A good way to continue this thread could be for people to post their phone scripts also.
This would make it a highly instructive thread for those who want to "tune" their appointment setting.
