Nationwide Agents

:D I could see him and Flo hooking up!

You just know the marketing VPs at Nationwide and Progressive stay awake at night with envy over Geico's campaigns. I won't comment on Geico as an insurer, but both the Gecko and the Caveman are good ad campaigns.

Those are ok. At least they attempt to show the agent in a positive light. Too many ads ignore the agent or show them as disposable.

Just about all the Nationwide ads blow. I'm no NASCAR fan, but surely there is someone besides Dale Jr. available as a spokesperson? From what I understand, he never wins and he usually wrecks. Not exactly ideal material for an auto insurance pitchman.

I am a FORMER Farmers agent, and their stupid ass commercials still embarrass me!

yeah you gotta love the Allstate CALL 1-800-ALLSTATE or a local agent

Don't know anything about Nationwide's competitiveness in CA, but their commercials kind of irritate me (same with the Progressive girl). GEICO's caveman and gecko ad campaigns are pretty good. I wonder if all that advertising is paying off for them, or if the expense will catch up eventually and they will cut back on advertising or raise rates. Would like to know the dollar amount they spend on advertising per year. Probably right up there with Budweiser. I'm sure it would boggle my mind.
