Need Advice on New Agency...

The mojo dialer will make your life easier AFTER you get some experience hand dialing.

Not that I want to plug anything here but you can receive a $55 monthly discount on Mojo by joining the ILIAA at $14.95 a month. You'll also get a great education on life insurance as well.

BTW, you are getting a many year head start by working with Frank.

Amen - while I think the Mojo Dialer is an incredibly powerful tool, it's sort of like getting a Ferrari for your first car. Start off with the Chevy Lumina first before you go diving in. Otherwise, you'll find yourself getting beaten up.

In the state of Ohio If you want your Agency Licensed to recieve commissions it has to be a LLC. If you open a S-corp the state will not license the S-corp but you can take Commissions as a sole propritor and have them deposited into the S-corp account for tax reasons..

Exactly. When I train a new agent I strongly recommend that they start calling by putting their finger in the hole and turning the wheel. Using a dialer makes it too easy to go on to the next call without taking time to reflect on the call they just made to identify what they did right and what the did wrong and how to correct it.

I still stick my finger in the hole and turn the wheel.

Wow ....everything I have read about you is positive. I tried to pm you; but the forum doesn't allow unless I have posts. I would like to know your schedule on training? I am a licensed agent in Fl since Oct 09. I want to specialize in the Med Supp Market.

Frank is one of the few folks on this forum who has been granted an automatic censoring identity. Anytime someone posts something negative about Frank, or his goats, the post disappears as does your bank account.

Thanks for the kind words.

I really don't have a training schedule. After the agent studies the documents I send and have written down all their questions we schedule about a 2.5 hour phone conversation. I do these one on one. I feel I can speak more directly to that individual agents needs as opposed to try to do a group training session.

After that phone call the agent pretty much has unlimited assess to me as situations and questions arise. I have even had agents call me while sitting at the kitchen table with a prospect. If the phone rings I answer it. I guess one could say I provide 24/7 support.

I have had agents call me as late as 11pm, none yet at 3am. Oops, I probably should have not said that. Some guy is now going to set his alarm for 3am just to see if I answer. :D If I wake up, I will talk to him or her.

Great...thanks for the response. I will call you some time today to see what I have to do to get the 40 page document. I want to get started ASAP. I promise it will be before 3 am.....I'll call ya at 2:59 am... Just joking....thanks again Jeanna

FYI: The Mojo Dialer has a CRM with it so since you bought YIO you may want to see if you can find a straight up dialer for less money. Won't want to do double work, unless Frank has built a way to work with a dialer into the new version.

Also, set your goals high, my agents are averaging about 12 sales a week and we only just launched. That number will get larger as we fine tune our systems.

Rob I don't know if you have personally used the Mojo dialer, but for myself, the CRM feature is very basic, mainly just used to manage leads that have not been converted through the dialer. It's not going to replace Frank's CMP.
