Need Advice on New Agency...

In the state of Ohio If you want your Agency Licensed to recieve commissions it has to be a LLC. If you open a S-corp the state will not license the S-corp but you can take Commissions as a sole propritor and have them deposited into the S-corp account for tax reasons..
You got it right. I still need to know more about Ohio. I have some friends to share some news there.

I have used Mojo but we use Agency IQ, $30 a month and it rocks, auto responders, etc. Amazing customer service and new improvements coming up also. Great system and we've seen an increase in contact rate/call backs using it.

Rob I don't know if you have personally used the Mojo dialer, but for myself, the CRM feature is very basic, mainly just used to manage leads that have not been converted through the dialer. It's not going to replace Frank's CMP.

I get that everything "rocks," but what happens if you decide you no longer want nor need Agency IQ, do you lose all your records?

I'm not sure, but why would we want to stop using something that works well for us?

If something comes out at a later date that completely blows it away, then (if that was the case where I would "lose" the info) I would hire someone to transfer all of the records to an excel file or something of that nature. Problem solved!

You see, I don't look for problems in the opportunity, that's for limited, small minded individuals, I look for solutions if and when they are necessary.

I've also grown tired of hearing about agents who bought everything under the sun; a dialer, quoting tool, a website, etc and aren't making a dime yet, they're discouraged and just laying out money, so for $30 a month, it's all good.

FYI: Franks product would not work for me as it cannot be linked for agency usage, meaning I could not monitor my agents across the country with it unless they were in one office/central location. It may have changed now but it wasn't capable for me at that time.

Most likely (but developer would need to concur) there is an export function that downloads the data into a .csv or .xls file...Most software-as-a-service applications allow users to export data upon account cancellation.

Okay, I get that and understand the montioring ability. I don't know about the linking as that's beyond my computer skills.

Not sure if it would be important for the typical one or two agent office. As for me, I would rather pay one time for YIO and have a turn key program. It does more than I can ever get out of it.

Your post just made it sound like YIO was not a good program. Perhaps I'm reading more into it than was meant.

I would find it much harder to be in business without YIO.

Rick-

I'm assuming you meant it would be much harder to be in business WITHOUT YIO?

I have it, and it is an awesome program. I especially like the simplicity of it. It does very many things, all with the click of a button.

just some advice for you if your going to focus on medicare in ohio you need to find the best companies for offering advatage plans. you will be able to sell many med supps. but your talking about state where its residents are really struggling money wise.the market is split down the middle. trust me.
