Need Auto Dialer Info

Are you sure this is compliant? As I understand it, you need express permission to dial with an automated message, not implied permission. A quote request is not express permission.

I would check with your attorney before saying this solution is compliant with the new rules. I could be wrong, but the information I have is pretty clear that they basically need to tell you in no uncertain terms that they want to receive sales calls from an automated device.

But is that really considered a "sales call"?

They requested information, does that not give them
Carte blanche?

It used to be requesting information was the cover you needed, and it still is for the do-not-call list. It does not provide cover for the anti-robot call rules as of Sept 1.

Yes, when you call to provide information with the intent or goal of selling something, it is a sales call. Trying to slice that definition is likely to result in a fine someday.

Now, I assume if they have an appointment with you, and the call is simply an appointment reminder call, you can get by with it, because the call itself is not a sales call. The appointment is.

We consulted with an attorney extensively and did a lot of research.

Basically the Terms of Service of the lead providers and the E-Signature that the consumer puts on their quote allow us to make the automated call.

We only make more than one call on the first two business days after the lead was submitted so people are generally very receptive to our service. Also, our message is extremely friendly and brief.

The FTC rules are to keep people from getting pounded by auto-dialers that call through the phonebook. It is not intended to, nor does it, preclude a system like ours (www.dialyourleads.com).

When we got started we had a lot of discussions with NetQuote, the largest lead gen. company in the insurance market. They wanted to be very careful. But, after they did their own research they decided to approve us, mainly because we were able to show them that the agents AND the customers benefit from the service.

Good luck.

You may want to keep that lawyers number handy.

Thanks for the piece of mind "mf." That is exactly what I hear from the company I use!

If any of you are planning on auto dialing with a pre recorded message PLEASE be careful!!! Make sure you get as much dialing in as you can before Sept 1st. After that date its all over! You will need to think about switching over to something like this.... Hosted Predictive Dialer | VoIP Call Center Solution which is Hosted predictive dialing at that point and hire yourself a good TM or 2 to handle your dialing for you. If anyone needs info on hosted dialers please let me know, I am always glad to help people get their cold calling compliant and productive!

can u forward info on these dialers to [email protected]

Obviously, it's not for generation of insurance leads, it's for importation of our insurance leads into the auto dialer software that agents use. That's why I asked about what the agents are using. Did you notice the part about the contact management software integration? Also, did you notice the part about the new laws? I'd like to know how viable auto dialers are going to be come September.

I use a cheetah power dialer it lets me hear the phone ring and I can set it to how fast I want it to make the next call. You can learn more about it buy going to Auto Dialer :: Predictive Dialer :: Power Dialer :: Voice Mail Systems by Electronic Voice Services I think you might like it.:)
