Need Good Advice on Marketing to Seniors

I started in the insurance business in 1978 so I do have a lot of experience. My experience though was as an owner of a P&C agency for over 25 years. I sold that and will be working the senior market mainly for medicare supplements.

I've never been a big fan of buying leads or doing mailers. I know that works for some and I'm not trying to cast a negative light on those methods.

I would really appreciate any ideas you guys have that are good for generating business. Do any of you speak to any clubs that are made up of senior citizens, provide an auction item for bingo parlors, attend senior health fairs, or anything like that? Other than face to face (which I intend to do a lot of), I'm just wondering if you veterans of the senior market have activities that have worked well for you.
