New Equitable L&C Final Expense

You reference the 2011 AM press release, which is OLD news. They are still a B rated company.

The press release for March 15, 2012 says: A.M. Best Revises Outlook of Issuer Credit Rating to Stable for Equitable Life & Casualty Insurance Company.

Since the release date seems to be March 15th for the past number of years it is probable that another press release will be forthcoming very soon.

That was the link someone else put in the tread a couple of months ago when I was asking about Equitable. Seems agents are not too high on the company.

If the commissions are anything like med supps, expect to start out at 120% then 12 months later be at 80%. Seriously though, Equitable seems like a decent company but until they raise their commissions I will not use them on a regular basis.

They withdrew from the LTC market.. They have a STC but no LTC.

They called me yesterday.. Still no definite release date on the new FE plan.. Still hoping for May 1. Did learn they are also going to have a new true Guarantee Issue plan..

Guy i spoke with yesterday said all 36 states would be approved at once, but no timetable definite. Hoping by june 1
