Newbie Seeking No Nonsense Answers.

Thanks WinoBlues.

VolAgent,

I tried sending a message to you, but I guess I need to have 20 posts before I can do that.

I hope you don't mind if I ping you to pick your brain once in a while. I think we have the same mindset, so I'd greatly appreciate your opinion.

Even if it's just to bounce an idea or two off you.

Feel free to ask away. Doesn't mean I have the answer, or that my answer is right. And 20 posts will come in no time at all, there are plenty of threads to add intelligent replies to or ask intelligent questions on.

Vol is giving you some solid advice.

With your age, peer group & area. You could do this. But not as a part time gig. You now have two full time jobs. Put in the extra 30-40 hours now and in a year you can control your schedule.

Very true, prospecting to even get those after work appointments is a full time job in itself. I started of my career as a Western & Southern Life agent and felt very optomistic about the opportunity ahead until I wasn't making any money and I never saw my family. I am a mom of 3 young children so I know the parenting aspect of your post is important. I lasted 9 months and moved onto individual health with an agency which provided steady income. Later left that agency though and started my own.

Best of luck!
