Newspaper Advertising

Can't say I would do it.

$1500 (over 6 months) is one thing. Unless you are good at writing 4 articles per week that are interesting & informative, you have just wasted your time & money.

I blog on a regular basis plus write a monthly newsletter. Some times it comes easy, some times it is a drag.

If you have articles that are pre-written and can be used at any time, you might want to tackle it. Even then, there is no guarantee it will pay off.

You might want to check with agents & advisors who pen articles for local newspapers and see how well it works for them. The Dunwoody Crier has a guy that is a financial planner and has had a weekly article for years.

Usually when you pen an article they allow you to also place an ad, usually 1/8 page, somewhere near your article.

All this does is help to build credibility, but only if you write stuff that resonates with your readers.

Penning articles can be good, but takes months of repeat exposure to really see the effects. If you like writing articles, and have the time, it might pay off. Otherwise it will be a chore.
