No...I'm The SEO Expert...

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I just won this auction. I will have a big harvest this year. I will raise the mantis for about 1 week and then sell them for about $1 each or $12 if it comes with a habitat. The older they are, the more I will make per mantis.

You had me at:

They can be frozen solid, covered in snow, drenched and they will still hatch. This is the best time of year to purchase the egg cases and put them outdoors as sometimes in spring if it becomes very warm they have hatched out in transit.

Agree and agree. I had a site a few years back where I tried everything to get first page for a certain phrase. I paid for SEO and was shown a lot of things I was doing wrong and how to correct them. I was first position I think about 8 weeks later and my income went up dramatically.

SEO money is money well spent.....on the right SEO person/company.

I also know there's a lot of gray hat techniques out there and actually black hat that work and seem to fly under Google's radar. I'd avoid all of that advice. If that works now it might now work 5 years from now - if you're in this for the long haul. White hat techniques will take a lot longer to get to where you want to be but it's more stable and much harder to knock you off a top position.

Ahhhh there you are...prominently displayed on page 7!!!

Dynamic IP maybe? Everyone else found me, go figure. Anyway, I thought this was a fun post and just wanted to jump in. Sorry if I offended anyone, I thought I was keeping with the spirit of the thread.

Since the moderators seem to delete just about everything I say where I reference a search or URL, I'll just post "hello, everyone, glad to meet ya". If you see this reply, thanks for having me here.

I'm booked for 2012 and not looking for new clients, but love to answer questions, here or on ExpertHelp or FormSpring, or heck even on my blog. Just let me know if I can help.

Cheers. :)

Just kidding with you Steve.....it's obvious that you are an expert in SEO and I mean that sincerely.

I'm almost embarrassed to even ask this, but what is your opinion of domain names that have a hyphen in between two short words? I've heard different answers regarding this. I have 25 domain names and a few have the dash in between two four letter words. I would think that would be okay once I start my marketing efforts. I mean, this site here has a dash and it's everywhere on search engines!
Any comments appreciated!

Tough bunch here Steve. But for the most part, good group of people.

You made my day, thanks man.

Great question! The challenge with hyphenated domains doesn't have much to do with short-term SEO. If your content rocks, earns links, shares, likes, tweets, +1's, bookmarks, and blog mentions, it may still rank well.

However, ever since the Vince Update of 2009, brands have been given more authority and trust by the search engines. If you really want to develop your brand as my (hypen) site rather than a simple brand name, that's your choice.

Overtime, most of your search-generated traffic will come from your brand name. All of my corporate clients earn at least 30-40 percent of their natural traffic from their brand names. With each branded search you earn more credibility.

The only exception to this rule that I can think of is Resource Zone, the most anti-SEO, DMOZ editor forum on the web, where the motto is "we despise SEO, but if you want a link, slip me a thousand bucks under the table and I'll make sure you get in there."

My suggestion is to go with a brand name that people will search for by name. That's your best long-term strategy in terms of domain name selection.

Dammit pcb...I'm the expert, not him! Ask me. I just bought a domain from GoDaddy. Did I spend $10? Nope. I spent about $5 with a coupon. Bet nobody thought that was possible!

Yuck, GoDaddy? Have you tried Name....oh wait, I can't post links yet, well you can finish the three characters after Name.

It might be a few bucks more, but the speed, efficiency and usability has saved me hours from what I would have spent navigating through all the GoDaddy advertising garbage.
