Not sure what "affiliations" means?

I'm new to the world of selling health insurance. Can somebody tell me what an affiliation is? I live in CA and am trying to get licensed to sell life and health in NV & TX. The NIPR website instructs me to enter my # of affiliations (each one costs $60).

I assume it is the companies you are contracted to sell for. Some states charge you for each company.

Don't hold me to this - but I believe that is blank or 0, and not applicable to your situation.

I don't know about NV, but that is not applicable in TX for sure.
