Obama Not Closing on First Appt.

Not only that, he hasn't read the policy.

Morning Bell: Obama Admits He's "Not Familiar" With House Bill - The Foundry

During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: "Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?" President Obama replied: "You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."

Winter, do you write a blog . . .?

Obama is learning he has to grow up.

Just because you want a pony to be under the tree on Christmas morning doesnt mean it will be there.

In much the same way I believe Obama will have to scale back what he wants the tax payer to pay for this Christmas.

Oh . . .

Sure he didn't have a lager from Maine?

Could be. I think that when Allah was handing out ears, Barry thought he said "beers" and asked for two big ones.

Not sure

.

True. However, it did not help that Congress gave him the stimulus package just for the asking so that he could fund his own little Neverland playground around the country.

I think the voters are teaching Congress a lesson and they in turn will give Barry one.

Looks like BO might of just had his first strike.

I hope he strikes out and loses all of his political clout!

imho, the biggest problem is the rush to "get this done". It's way more important to get it right than it is to get it quick!

I saw Lamar Alexander (one of the few politicians who actually makes some sort of sense) on the Jim Lehrer PBS News Hour last night. Being interviewed along with Christopher Dodd, it was like old Lamar was in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

He was wondering what was wrong with finding the savings first, by implementing and expanding ideas from places that have had success with excellent care and reasonable costs; Mayo Clinic, UPMC in Pittsburgh, and the program at Vanderbilt in Nashville.

He reasoned that the savings could be utilized to expand coverage to the uninsured.

Makes way too much sense though.

I'm very interested to see how "nothing will change" when everything will change.

I can't watch a speech where Obama doesn't state "if you have a plan through work that won't change. If you like your individual plan, keep it, etc...." He's very intent on totally misleading people into thinking nothing will change.

Funny, I've been reading the bill and everything will change.

Press conference coming up this evening. He is trying to make it look like a press conference by covering other topics but it is actually a presidential address to twist arms on health care reform.

That's fine. I just hope that the networks treat it as a presidential address and have a republican response afterwards. Of course they won't. Probably Fox will or will take it up on one of their shows afterwards. Not so sure about MSNBC.
